Lyndonville tops Albion in non league contest

Leading from wire to wire, Lyndonville rolled to a 47-32 win over visiting Albion in a non league girls basketball game this evening.

Lorelei Dillenbeck scored a game high 22 points, including five threes, to lead the Lyndonville attack. Addison Dillenbeck added 9, Haley Shaffer, Shelby Boring and Ashlee Stephens 4 each and Bella Groves and Jocelyn Mack 2 each for the Lady Tigers.

Skoi Sanders Smith scored 9 and Madison Hughson 8 to pace Albion as Taylor LeFrois added 6, Kenzi Snook 3 and Olivia Krenning, Julia Knight and Samantha Basinait 2 each.

Baskets by Addison Dillenbeck, Stephens and Lorelei Dillenbeck helped spark Lyndonville out to a 10-4 first quarter lead.

Threes by Lorelei Dillenbeck and Shaffer then highlighted a 14-7 Lyndonville second period scoring edge which upped the lead to 24-11 at the half.

Lorelei Dillenbeck had two threes in the third period to help up the Lady Tigers advantage to 21 at 37-16 at the three-quarter mark. She also had two threes early in the final stanza to help up the Lady Tigers lead to as much as 27, 47-20.

Now at 2-0, Lyndonville next visits Notre Dame at 7 p.m. Friday in the Genesee Region League opener.

Albion, which is 0-2, next hosts Byron-Bergen on December 14.

In a G-R contest, Attica nipped visiting Kendall 30-28.

Alden 42, Roy-Hart 31

Leading by a narrow 15-13 margin at the half, Alden used a 15-4 third quarter scoring edge to key a 42-31 win over Roy-Hart in a non league game this evening. Kaitlin Mettler led Roy-Hart with 16.
