Lyndonville spikers prep for title defense
LYNDONVILLE – Facing a rebuilding project after losing six regulars to graduation, the Lyndonville Tigers are prepping to defend their Genesee Region League Division II volleyball title.
Seniors Abigail Feldman, Katie Marek, Chelsey Silversmith, Ashley Woodworth, Heather Mufford and Johanna Cuadra, along with junior setter Morgan Hungerford, anchor the Lyndonville lineup.
That contingent looks to fill the void left by the graduation of Keri Stillinger, Sierra VanWycke, Alex Harling, Alyssa Houseman, Elyssa Rodriguez and Jordan Dixon.
“I know it is a tall order to follow for sure but we are looking to repeat,” Coach Kevin Laskey said. “The girls are really stepping up so I’m very optimistic. If we stick to the fundamentals we can do it.”
