Lyndonville romps to clinch G-R Division 2 softball title; Barker earns 7th win
Putting a lock on the Division 2 title, Lyndonville romped to a 20-2 Genesee Region League softball victory over host Notre Dame this afternoon.
Ella Lewis had a three-run home run in the first inning and a three-run double in the fourth, Morgan Austin a two-run single in the fourth and Bella Groves a grand slam home run the sixth to highlight the offense for undefeated Lyndonville which improves to 15-0 overall.
Addy Dillenbeck had 4 hits, Lorelei Dillenbeck 3 and Lewis, Austin and Groves 2 each.
The Lady Tigers next visit Byron-Bergen on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Kendall 10, Alexander 6
Shelby Kruger, Julie Coble, Grace Levett, Grace Robinson and Taigan Guerrero each had 2 hits to lead Kendall to a 10-6 G-R win over Alexander. Kruger and Coble both had doubles.
Barker 8, Wilson 5
Scoring five quick runs in the first inning, Barker went on to defeat host Wilson 8-5 this afternoon to improve to 7-3 in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition.
A two-run double by Rachel Sutter and a two-run single by Anna Bowerman highlighted the Lady Raiders big first inning uprising.
Bowerman, Kaylee Stoll and Peyton Bradley each finished with 2 hits.
Juliana Levesque had 2 hits for Wilson which finishes the N-O season at 6-6.
