Lyndonville rolls in Tri County playoff opener

A big 10 run first inning sparked Lyndonville to a 18-7 victory over the visiting Alden Curve this evening in the quarterfinal round of the Tri County Babe Ruth League playoffs.

Casey Winiecki had a leadoff double and a triple to highlight the big early scoring burst as Lyndonville rebounded strongly after Alden had tallied twice in the top of the first.

Oskar Heinsler finished with 4 hits for Lyndonville as Winiecki, winning pitcher Trenton Muck and Roman Heinsler each had 3 and Rolland Balcerzak 2.

Muck, whose hits included a double, struck out 14 on the mound.

Lyndonville will next face the winner of the Oakfield vs. Akron Black game in the semifinals on Thursday.

Top seeded Albion advanced via a forfeit win over the Alden Gold team which did not have enough players.  Albion will host the winner of the Alexander v.s Akron Orange game in the semifinals on Thursday.
