Lyndonville rebounds to down Byron-Bergen

Getting back onto the winning track, Lyndonville romped to a 14-1 victory over Byron-Bergen this afternoon in a five inning run rule Genesee Region League baseball game.

Rebounding from an 11-1 loss to Oakfield-Alabama in their last outing, the Tigers got off to a quick start as a three-run home run by Nathan Dillenbeck highlighted a four run first inning.

Keeping the momentum, the Tigers added two runs in the second on RBI singles by Rolland Balcerzak and Jack Whipple, four in the third highlighted by a three-run double by Balcerzak and three more in the fourth as Trenton Muck had an RBI single.

Muck finished with three hits as Whipple, Balcerzak and winning pitcher Roman Heinsler each had two.

On the mound, Heinsler threw a one hitter with two strikeouts.

The Tigers improve to 8-2.

In another G-R contest, Elba downed Holley-Kendall 8-5.

Elba scored four in the fourth inning as a big hit by Zach Howard plated three.

Kalen Brady had a triple and Miles Lammes a double for Holley.

In a G-R softball game, Elba defeated Holley 28-3.
