Lyndonville, Medina to host sectional diamond contests today

The Lyndonville baseball and softball teams will both begin defense of their Section V Class D titles with home games this afternoon.

The top seeded Lyndonville baseball squad will host No. 9 Avoca in a Class DD quarterfinal at 4:30 p.m.

The No. 3 Lady Tigers will host No. 6 Hammondsport in a Class D1 quarterfinal at 4:30 p.m.

Medina begins Section VI Class B1 baseball playoff action at Vets Park at 5 p.m. as the No. 6 Mustangs host No. 11 Dunkirk.

The Holley and Kendall baseball squads will also be on the road today in Section V Class CC quarterfinal round competition. The No. 8 Hawks will visit top seeded Gananda and the No. 10 Eagles will travel to No. 2 East Rochester, both at 4:30 p.m.
