Lyndonville, Medina matmen place at Hilton Tournament
Four Lyndonville and three Medina wrestlers placed at the 17 team Hilton Tournament today.
Alex Murphy placed fourth at 138, Dustin Joy fifth at 138, Devin Joy fifth at 145 and Frankie Carrisquilla sixth at 285 for Lyndonville.
Joe Velez placed second at 113, Charles Beach third at 182 and Brennen Callara fourth at 106 for Medina. Beach went 5-1 on the tourney, Velez 3-2 and Callara 2-2.
Kendall’s Mason ReQua earned a fourth place finish.
Lyndonville next visits Alexander on Tuesday and Mediina hosts Niagara-Orleans League leading Newfane at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Newfane took over sole possession of the N-O lead at 4-0 by edging defending champion Akron (3-1) 35-29 Friday night at Akron.
Jake Kubala and Paul Dunbar both had pins for Newfane which also got a key decision win by Nate Martin.
