Lyndonville, Kendall score G-R girls soccer wins

Rebounding from an early one goal deficit, Lyndonville rallied to defeat visiting Elba 4-1 this afternoon to improve to 2-0 on the young Genesee Region League girls soccer season.

In other action, defending Division 1 champion Kendall opened its G-R campaign by posting a 2-0 victory at Pembroke.

Lyndonville pulled even with Elba at 1-1 before half-time on a goal by Kaity Albone off an assist from Rebekah Hoffee.

It then took the Lady Tigers just two minutes into the second half to move on top to stay at 2-1 on a goal by Gabby Dusett.

Lyndonville then broke the contest wide open with a quick two goal scoring burst midway through the half. Aubrey Lewis tallied with 18 minutes to go and Dusett scored just two minutes later on a breakaway off an assist from Dianna Smith.

Kendall 2, Pembroke 0
Maya Rutland scored a goal in each half, both coming off assists from Taylor ReQua, to lead Kendall to the 2-0 victory at Pembroke.
