Lyndonville, Holley post G-R wins

Pounding out 22 hits, Lyndonville romped to a 15-0 victory over visiting Pembroke and Holley downed host Oakfield-Alabama 9-3 this afternoon in Genesee Region League baseball action.

Trevor Bentley had 4 hits for Lyndonville as AJ Buckland, Ty Hrovat, Brandon Schoolcraft and winning pitcher Chris Scroger each had 3 and Eric Neace, Michael Wells and Eddie Schild 2 each.

On the mound, Scroger allowed only 2 hits and struck out 7.

Lyndonville is now 5-2 in the league and 8-3 overall.

Joe DeFelice went the distance on the mound for Holley registering 8 strikeouts.

Eight different players contributed hits to the Hawks attack as Lucas Silvis drove in a total of 3 runs.

Holley is now 6-1 in the league and 8-2 overall.

Holley next hosts Lyndonville in a make-up game at 1 p.m. Saturday.
