Lyndonville and Holley-Kendall wrestlers prepping for season openers

Anchored by a good nucleus of returnees, Lyndonville is prepping to begin defense of its Genesee Region League wrestling title.

The Tigers will open the season at the Byron-Bergen Tournament on December 3 and then host the annual Fred Large Memorial Tournament on Dec. 10.

Anchoring the Tigers lineup are junior Sebastian Temich (36-9 last year) along with seniors Payton Grabowski (35-11), Sam Doolan (33-11), Christian Garver (31-9), Allan Heideman (21 wins), Alex Farrell (20 wins), sophomore Ty Holmes and 8th grader Brody Hazel.

The Holley-Kendall squad will also begin tuning up for the G-R season next week by visiting Batavia/Attica on Dec. 1 and then participating in the Byron-Bergen Tournament.

The Hawks are led by a good nucleus of returning sectional participants including seniors Bruce Rasmusson, Hunter Conner and Frank Golisano along with sophomore Will Kruger and 8th grader Parker Denning.
