Lyndonville, Holley and Kendall girls to open sectional competition on the road
Seeded No. 12, Lyndonville will open Section V Class C2 girls basketball playoff competition against No. 5 Clyde-Savannah at 7 p.m. Wednesday at East Rochester.
The victor will face the winner of the No. 13 South Seneca at No. 4 Wheatland-Chili contest.
Another C2 opener involving a pair of Genesee Region League teams will have No. 11 Alexander visiting No. 6 Oakfield-Alabama at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
In Class C 1, No 14 Holley will face No. 3 Canisteo-Greenwood at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Keshequa.
Two other C1 openers Wednesday involving G-R teams will have No. 16 Sodus at No. 1 Pembroke and No. 15 Campbell-Savona vs. No. 2 Byron-Bergon at a site to be determined.
In Class D1, No. 10 Kendall will visit No. 7 Pavilion and No. 5 Notre Dame will host No. 12 Genesee Valley at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
In one Class B2 opener involving a G-R team, No. 10 Attica will visit No. 7 LeRoy at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
