Lyndonville hands Alexander first G-R loss

Closing out the regular season on a high note, Lyndonville ended host Alexander’s season long 14 game Genesee Region League winning streak by posting an 11-3 victory this afternoon.

Leading by a narrow 4-3 margin, Lyndonville put a lock on the victory by erupting for seven runs in the top of the seventh inning highlighted by an RBI triple by Ella Lewis, a two-run double by Miranda Lembcke, an RBI double by Megan Krisher and an RBI single by Stacy Buckland.

Gracie Johnson finished with 4 hits for the Lady Tigers and Lewis 2. Johnson’s hits included a triple.

Johnson and Lorelie Dillenbeck shared in the pitching duties in the circle for the Lady Tigers.

Lyndonville, which captured the G-R Division 2 title,  finishes the regular season at 13-1 in the league and 14-2 overall.

Baseball

Holley 15, Byron-Bergen 3

Holley romped past Byron-Bergen 15-3 in a G-R League game to improve to 8-7.

A three-run home run by Nick Schutz highlighted the contest for Holley as Ryan Andrews and Brandon Dillenbeck both had 3 hits and Sammy Lammes and Nate Towne 2.
