Lyndonville girls romp past Alexander; Akron posts key N-O win over Roy-Hart
Lyndonville boosted its Genesee Region League softball record to 13-1 with a 19-4 victory over visiting Alexander this afternoon.
Trailing 4-3, Lyndonville regained the lead for good by scoring four runs in the bottom of the third inning.
The Lady Tigers then broke the contest open by exploding for nine runs in the fourth frame eight of which crossed home plate with two outs.
Gracie Johnson had 4 hits for Lyndonville as Ella Lewis and Haley Shaffer both had 3 and Lorelei Dillenbeck and Brooke Robinson 2 each. Lewis had 3 doubles, Lorelei Dillenbeck and Shaffer 2 and Addison Dillenbeck and Johnson 1 each.

Undefeated (7-0) Akron posted a 3-0 win over Roy-Hart (4-3) to open up a commanding three game lead in the Niagara-Orleans League title race.
The pitchers dual saw Akron hurler Jenelle Kieffer allow only 1 hit and strikeout 15 and Roy-Hart’s Reanna Perkins give up just 2 hits and strike out 10.
