Lyndonville girls down Pembroke
Improving to 8-1, Lyndonville posted a 5-2 victory over visiting Pembroke this afternoon in a Genesee Region League softball game.
A three-run fifth inning scoring burst on a two-run double by Gracie Johnson and a wild pitch, provided the margin of victory for Lyndonville. Johnson had 2 hits on the day.
The Lady Tigers other 2 runs came in the fourth frame on a passed ball and an RBI single by Alecia Hinkson.
Stacy Buckland picked up the win in the circle striking out 7.
Elba 8,Kendall 6
Lizzie Sutphen had 3 hits and Adriana Passarell and Sunni Brice 2 each for Kendall in the narrow 8-6 G-R loss to Elba.
In a Niagara-Orleans League game Akron (3-3) defeated Barker (2-6) 19-1.
Baseball
Akron (7-2) blanked Barker (0-10) 10-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League game and Northstar downed Kendall 18-9 in a non league contest.
Tennis
Notre Dame 3, Holley 2
Aaron Strathearn won at first singles and the duo of Dalton Thurley-Steven Morgan at first doubles for Holley in the 3-2 G-R loss at Notre Dame.
Hayden Chamberlain won at first singles and Zach Babcock at second singles for Notre Dame which also got a victory from the second doubles team of Ben Lemley-Clare Misiak.
The Niagara-Orleans League Medina vs. Albion and Roy-Hart vs. Wilson matches were postponed due to the rain.
