Leading by a narrow 6-4 margin, Lyndonville scored three runs in the fourth inning and four more in the fifth to key an 11-7 victory over visiting Medina Wednesday in a Lockport Midget ‘B’ League game.

Medina jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a single by Chris Allis.

Lyndonville though answered right back with four runs in the home half of the frame highlighted by a two-run single by Noah Heinsler.

Medina regained what proved to be a short lived 5-4 lead by scoring four times in the second as Nick Russo had a single and Alex Allis a two-run single.

However, Lyndonville regained the lead for good by tallying three times in the fourth and quickly tacked on four more in the fifth to open up a 11-6 lead. Noland Donald, Cody Bentley, Kane Flynn, Zach Johnson and Matt Hess all had hits during that key stretch.

Bentley and Cory Hydock both had two hits on the evening.

Johnson came on to hurl the final four innings and struck out 9.

Defensively, for Medina, Alex Allis and Russo teamed up to turn a double play in the sixth inning.

Lyndonville is now 2-0 and Medina 0-1.
