Lyndonville cagers roll past Holley

All ten players contributed to the point production as Lyndonville rolled to a 63-36 victory over visiting Holley this evening in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game.

Eric Neace scored 11, Eddie Schildt and Corey Hydock 10 each and Nick Hinkson 9 to lead the balanced attack for Lyndonville which also had Zach Johnson tally 8, Jacob Hoffee, Hunter Ottaviano and Ken Kalson 4, Dylan Nicholson 2 and Josh Tombari 1.

Dylan Hillabush scored 8, Isiah Flow 7, Derek McArthur 6, Nick Passarell and Zach Trask 5, Ryan Moseman 4 and Chris Balys 1 for Holley.

Leading from wire to wire, Lyndonville jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the first three minutes on a pair of threes by Johnson, rebound buckets by Hinkson and Neace and a jumper by Schildt.

The Tigers built the lead to 17, 25-8, at the end of the opening quarter which saw Johnson tally 8, Schildt 6, Hydock 5, Neace 4 and Hinkson 2.

Lyndonville’s advantage quickly increased to 20, 30-10, at the outset of the second quarter after a layup and a three by Hinkson.

The Tigers maintained commanding leads of 42-15 at the half and 57-24 at the three-quarter mark.

Lyndonville is now 5-2 in the league and 8-4 overall while Holley s 1-6, 1-10.

Byron-Bergen 49, Kendall 43
Trailing 18-13 at the half, Byron-Bergen used a 19-11 third period scoring edge to key a 49-43 G-R victory over visiting Kendall.

Brandon Burke scored 16 and Rider Farnsworth 14 for Byron-Bergen which made good on 14 of 17 free throw attempts to help lock up the win.

Jacob Ramsdell scored 11, Nick Manners 9, Nathan Warters and Brandon Miller 8 and Colton Breslawski 7 for Kendall. Ramsdell also had 13 blocks and 6 rebounds and John Rath 6 steals for the Eagles.

Byron-Bergen 55, Holley 22
Nate Schoonmaker, Nick Shenck and Pat Purtell all registered pins and Zach Day had a major decision for Holley in the Hawks home mat 55-22 G-R loss to Byron-Bergen.
