Lyndonville cagers post win over Attica; Alexander rallies late to edge Kendall

Building up a 15 point half-time advantage, Lyndonville went on to defeat visiting Attica 63-38 this evening to improve to 4-5 in Genesee Region League boys basketball action.

Zach Johnson scored a game high 19 points for Lyndonville as Nathan Poler added 11, Nathan Dillenbeck, Ricky Forder and Brody Brown 8 each.

Lyndonville jumped out to a 15-9 first period lead as Dillenbeck and Brown both hit threes.

The Tigers upped the advantage to 35-20 at the half as Forder scored 6 and Johnson 5 in the second period.

Lyndonville maintained a commanding 53-29 advantage at the three-quarter mark as Brown and Johnson each netted 5 in the third period.

Alexander 49, Kendall 42
Alexander used a 13-0 run to close the game to rally past Kendall 49-42 and improve to 11-3.

Breaking away from a 34-34 deadlock at the three-quarter mark, Kendall moved out to a 42-36 lead four minutes into the final period as John Rath had a three and Nate Warters and Hunter Menge buckets.  However, the Eagles could not score again.

Rath finished with 19, Warters 10 and Menze 8.

Erik Scharlau scored 14 and grabbed off 16 rebounds to lead Alexander as Ryan Davis and Chris McClinic each chipped in with 11 points.
