Lyndonville cagers best Barker

Improving to 13-4 overall on the season, Lyndonville posted a 70-54 victory over visiting Barker this evening in a non league boys basketball game.

Nick Hinkson scored 18, Eddie Schildt 16 and Eric Neace 15 to spearhead the attack for Lyndonville as Hunter Ottaviano added 9 and Corey Hydock and Jacob Hoffee 6 each.

Nate Luckman took game high scoring honors with 19 for Barker as Michael Snell added 13, Jacob Arnold 9, Kyle Secore 5, Devon Mangan and Ryan Voss 3 and Shawn Callaghan 2.

Lyndonville jumped out to a 20-6 first quarter lead as Hinkson and Schildt both tallied 7, Neace 4 and Ottaviano 2.

The Tigers maintained a 15 point, 37-22, advantage at the half as Hinkson had a three and a rebound bucket and Schildt a pair of layups to lead the way in the second quarter.

The Tigers advantage jumped to 22, 59-37, at the three-quarter make as Neace had 6 in the third period while Hydock added a 3 and a layup off a steal and Ottaviano a three.

Lyndonville next visits Kendall in a Genesee Region League game and Barker hosts Albion in a Niagara-Orleans League contest on Tuesday.

In one G-R contest this evening Pembroke downed Holley 51-19. Nick Passarell scored 10 and Derek McArthur 7 for the Hawks.
