Lyndonville blanks Pembroke in G-R softball
Scoring in five different innings, Lyndonville blanked Pembroke 10-0 this afternoon to improve to 9-0 in Genesee Region League softball action and 12-0 overall.
Haley Shaffer hurled the shutout in the circle scattering 4 hits and striking out 5.
At the plate, Ella Lewis banged out three hits for the Lady Tigers including a home run and a double with 4 RBIs. Shaffer also helped her own cause with a double and a sacrifice fly and a total of 3 RBIs. Gracie Johnson and Bri Krisher also each drove in a run.
Lyndonville next hosts Wheatland-Chili in a doubleheader at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Kendall 20, Wheatland-Chili 2
Julie Coble and Lauren Pilon both had 3 hits including a double and triple, Brooke Rodas 3 and winning pitcher Sara Mattle 2 to lead the way for Kendall.
Holley 11, Elba 10
Holley pushed across two runs in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Tatum Gagne, which drove in the tying run, and a bases loaded hit batter, which plated the game winner, to nip Elba 11-10. A hit by Sara Kingdollar, a walk an a hit batter loaded the bases to set up the threat.
Kingdollar finished with 3 hits as Hailey Herring and AJ Botello both had 2.
