Lyndonville bests Elba in softball
Barker downs Medina, R-H tops Albion
Pounding out 15 hits, Lyndonville posted a 9-5 victory over host Elba this afternoon in a Genesee Region League softball game.
Winning pitcher Maddy Boyle and Rebekah Hoffee both banged out a double and drove in three runs and Katie Marek had four hits to lead the Lyndonville attack.
Boyle registered eight strikeouts in the circle as the Lady Tigers improve to 6-1 in the league and 11-1 overall.
Barker 19, Medina 7
A big seven run second inning ignited Barker to a 19-7 romp over visiting Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League game.
Olivia Denny and Brooke Targus both had two hits, including a double, and Mary Rounds two hits to spearhead the Lady Raiders attack.
Mallori Wienke had two doubles and Liz Meyer two hits for Medina.
Barker improves to 8-5 and Medina slips to 1-10.
Roy-Hart 13, Albion 4
A big six run second inning scoring burst, which was aided by five errors, sparked Roy-Hart to a 13-4 victory over host Albion.
Ashley Bower and Taylor Fry both had three hits for Roy-Hart as Kayla Brown and Sam Brown both had two. Kayla Brown’s hits included a triple
Kelsee Soule had a triple and Ashlee Bocach a double for Albion.
Fry and Bower combined to hurl a four hitter with two strikeouts.
Roy-Hart improves to 9-2 while Albion, which was hampered by a total of nine errors, slips to 3-8.
Pembroke 5, 17, Holley 4, 2
Tabitha Swift had two hits for Holley in the narrow 5-4 opening game loss of the doubleheader as Felciia Meyer added a triple.
Wilson 6, CSAT 4
Wilson boosted its N-O record to 8-4 with a narrow 6-4 win over CSAT (2-11).
Ana Bryer hurled a three hitter with five strikeouts for Wilson as Allie Bubar, Becka Blasius and Alissa Dicesare all had RBIs.
Oakfield-Alabama 10, Kendall 2
Kari Hurlbutt had a two-run double for Kendall in the Lady Eagles G-R loss at Oakfield-Alabama.
