Lyndonville and Medina have top three place finishers at the Lockport Wrestling Tourney
Lyndonville and Medina both had top three place finishers at the Lockport Wrestling Tournament which concluded this afternoon.
Lyndonville’s Payton Grabowski took first place honors at 172. He rallied from a 5-1 third period deficit to score a pin in 4:30 over Starpoint’s Phil Pinnell. He advanced to the finals by scoring a 15-0 technical fall win in the opening round, a 51 second pin in the quarterfinals and a 5-2 decision win in the semifinals.
Medina’s Conor Crandall placed second at 189 as he dropped a narrow 3-2 decision in the title bout to John Fike of Niagara-Wheatfield. He scored an 8-2 decision win in the quarterfinals and had a pin of 4:46 in the semifinals.
Medina’s Sawyer Kingsbury placed third at 215 as he decisioned Jack Coughlin from St. Francis 6-0 in the bout for third and fourth place. He opened the tourney with a pair of pins and then lost in the semifinals by a major decision.
The Mustangs also had Reece Senske place fifth at 102.
Roy-Hart/Barker had Quinn Brown place second at 112, Roman Klug third at 160 and Dan Moore 6th at 215.
