Lyndonville ‘9’ trims Byron-Bergen

Lyndonville trimmed visiting Byron-Bergen 4-1 this afternoon to remain undefeated at 6-0 in Genesee Region League baseball action and 8-0 overall.

Ty Hrovat led the Tigers scattering seven hits and stiking out five on the mound and also banging out a pair of doubles at the plate.

Evan Milleville drove in one run for Lyndonville in the second inning with a sacrifice fly and another in the fifth with a single.

Lyndonville also scored twice in the third on a double by Hrovat and a sacrifice by AJ Buckland.

The Tigers are next scheduled to host Lima Christian at 11 a.m. Saturday to finish a suspended game.

Kendall 5, Wheatland-Chili 4
Trailing 2-1, Kendall rallied for four runs in the fifth inning to nip host Wheatland-Chili 5-4 in a G-R contest.

Winning pitcher Alex Sutphen and Garett Love both banged out two-run doubles for the Eagles in the decisive frame.

Mookie Nauden had three hits for Kendall which improves to 3-1 in the league and 3-3 overall.

Sutphen came on in the fifth inning to get Kendall out of a bases loaded jam and allowed only two hits with three strikeouts over the final two and two-thirds innings.

In another G-R contest, Notre Dame defeated Holley 7-2.
