A late inning scoring burst earned Lyndonville a 4-2 victory over visiting Alexander this afternoon as the Tigers improve to 3-1 in Genesee Region League baseball action.

Breaking away from a 2-2 deadlock, Lyndonville claimed the win by scoring twice in the bottom of the sixth inning on RBI singles by A.J. Buckland and Jacob Hoffee.

Ty Hrovat went the distance on the mound for the Tigers allowing only 4 hits with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.

“Ty pitched very well and we played well defensively,” said Lyndonville Coach Shane Price.

Lyndonville next visits Holley on Friday.
