Lyndonville ‘9’ rolls past Finney

Lyndonville posted a 12-1 victory over host CG Finney this afternoon in the Tigers non league season opener.

Zach Johnson picked up the win on the mound allowing only 2 hits and striking out 13 over the first six innings.

Kane Flynn, Rolland Balcerzak and Brody Brown each had a pair of hits to lead the Lyndonville offense.

The Tigers broke the contest open by scoring five times in the fifth inning highlighted by a two-run single by Balcerzak, a double by Oscar Heinsler and an RBI single by Brown.  Singles by Flynn and Nathan Dillenbeck ignited the uprising.

Lyndonville is scheduled to begin Genesee Region League competition at Kendall on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Pembroke 9, Holley 5
Breaking away from a 4-4 deadlock, Pembroke scored twice in the fifth inning to key a 9-5 victory over host Holley in a G-R contest.

Zach von Kramer had 2 doubles for Pembroke and Patrick Bower a pair of singles for Holley.
