Lyndonville girls nip Barker again
For the second time in a week Lyndonville has scored a narrow girls basketball win over Barker. Last Wednesday, the Lady Tigers edged past the Lady Raiders 34-30 in the opening round of the Kendall Tournament. This evening the win was by a very similar, but even closer, 31-30 margin.
Trailing 19-15 at the half, Lyndonville used a 13-9 third period scoring edge to rally into a 28-28 tie. Anna Lewis led that rally with 7 points.
The Lady Tigers then outpointed the Lady Raiders 3-2 in a very low scoring final period to claim the win. Alecia Hinkson had all three of those points.
Lewis finished with 11 points and Hinkson 10 while Gabby Baker and Sydnie Luckman each had 10 for Barker.
Lyndonvlle is now 3-1 and Barker 0-3.
In another non league game Alexander defeated Kendall 39-32.
