Mother Nature did not want to cooperate with the Crusaders Motorcycle Club during the 2021 race season. The race on Sunday was already a rain date for earlier in the summer but the club members worked hard despite, the mist and passing showers, to get all heat races completed and most of the main events in the books to determine the overall points score for the class champions.

The races were discontinued after the 250 and 450 classes were ran because the club felt the conditions were unsuitable for the racers. This club takes pride in being safety conscious first and foremost. The Crusaders would like to thank the die-hard fans that came and stayed for the last show of the 2021 season.

Austin Luczak from Ravenna, NY showed consistency is key to championships. He competed in all five events and took the win on Sunday with a hard charging Brandon Newman trying to track him down. This is the second championship Austin has won at the Crusaders Motorcycle Club earning his first title in 2018.

Another prestigious award was re-established in 2021 by two former racers Jeremy Higgins and Bradley Hazel. The Chris Miller-Pete Allen award is presented to the 250cc rider that demonstrates sportsmanship on and off the track, a professional rider resume and an essay of future race and personal goals. The winner of this year’s award went to Ryan D. Scavuzzo of Hilton.

Scavuzzo is also the 2021 250 Amateur Champion and finished third place overall in the Open Am class. He has won numerous championships at the Crusaders Motorcycle Club  He will also receive a $500 gift card, trophy and a plaque and a donated Arai Helme
