Barker Central School is pleased to announce that Nate Luckman will continue his basketball career at Niagara Country Community College under Coach Bill Beilein.

Luckman was selected first team All-League Niagara-Orleans for the second year in a row this past season.  He is also the fourth player in school history to score 1000th points in his career.

NCCC basketball coach and Barker alumnus, Bill Beilein was also a 1000th point scorer for the Raiders during his time as a player in the mid 1990’s. Interestingly, Coach Beilein played JV Basketball for Nate’s father, Dan Luckman from 1992-93.

Luckman is also Barker’s all-time 3-point shooter making 176 3-point baskets in three seasons. During his senior year campaign, he was the leading scorer in the GR/NO Exceptional Senior All-Star game (24 points), First Team Orleans Hub, 2nd Team All-State Class C – New York State Sportswriters Association, Honorable Mention Centercourt WNY, and Honorable Mention All-WNY.

“Signing Nate is great for the NCCC Basketball Program,” said Coach Beilein. “He brings a high competitive level of play and knowledge for the game.  We are always looking for kids that love the game, have a great work ethic and have set personal basketball goals for themselves.  We are expecting Nate to knock down a ton of three’s for us as well as distribute and create shots for his fellow Thunderwolves.”
