With the indoor soccer season about to conclude plans are now shifting into high gear for the local summer youth programs.

The Lake Ontario Youth Athletic League (LOYAL) is getting set for its second season of soccer competition.

Residents of Medina, Lyndonville and Roy-Hart are eligible to participate in the LOYAL program which  is slated to run from June 24 to August 8.

It will have four age group divisions including 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 and 10-12 with the emphasis on teaching the basic skills and fundamentals of the sport.

“The big this is for the youngsters to have the opportunity locally to get out and play soccer with their friends, to learn the game’s skills and to have fun doing it,” said LOYAL Soccer President Kerry Papaj.

The LOYAL program will hold its final registration session this Sunday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Medina Burger King.  In addition, online registration will continue unit May 1 (loyal soccer.siplay.com).
