The Dynamites 12u baseball failed to keep their winning streak going on Thursday dropping a 9-5 decision to the visiting Lou Gehrig Red  in a Boys of Summer League game.

The Dynamites spotted the visitors 6 runs in the first two innings which proved to be to much to bounce back from.

The Dynamites cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the second with a 2 out rally on hits by Amari Jones, Kaeden Wisnieski and Jay Heideman.  Some aggressive base running contributed to narrowing the gap.

Lou Gehrig added another run in the fourth while their pitching kept the Dynamites bats quiet for the next few innings.

Lou Gehrig added two more runs in the top of the sixth by some costly errors and a few base hits that plated two more runs to make it 9 to 3.

The Dynamite tried to battle back as Ryan Mettler singled to start the two out rally. Javon Jones drove in Mettler with a base hit. With 2 outs and Jones and Payne on base after Payne was hit by a pitch. Russo hit a ball in the gap but was unable to drive in a run because of some good defense by the visitors. J. Jones was able to steal home on a passed ball but that was all the Dynamites were able to plate during the inning.

The final inning was a three up, three down for both teams which concluded the game.
