He’s enjoyed playing it since he was a youngster and for the past three decades Carl Husung has enjoyed passing on that love of the game of soccer to the next generation as a AYSO youth soccer coach.

“Soccer, it’s my passion,” said Husung who will be retiring as an AYSO coach after this season, which is his 29th with the organization.

“I love planting the seeds for the enjoyment of soccer,” said Husung of his love of coaching the young players. “Introducing kids to the game and seeing them develop and have fun playing soccer that is the most joy for me.”
