Lockport nips Roy-Hart 1 for Midget ‘B’ playoff title
A late two run rally earned Lockport a narrow 7-6 victory over visiting Roy-Hart 1 this evening in the third and deciding game of the Lockport Midget ‘B’ League championship series.
Trailing 6-5, Lockport scored the decisive two runs in the fifth inning on singles by Alex Drake and Chris Landry.
Roy-Hart 1 had built up the 6-5 lead by scoring three times in both the second and fourth innings. Chase Bohall had a two-run single in the second while Avery Green, Colton Bohall and Aaron Metz all had RBI singles in the fourth.
Midget ‘A’
The best two out of three Midget ‘A’ League playoffs will begin on Tuesday as Medina hosts Lockport 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the JV field.
Lockport 1 advanced to the title round by virtue of a semifinal round forfeit win over Lyndonville due to the use of an ineligible player.
