Local trio earns football All-Star honors
A trio of local players including running back Jacob Affronti and lineman Triston McFadden from Holley and linebacker Rodney Davis from Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville, all seniors, have all earned first team Section V 8 Man Division football All-Star honors.
Affronti, who scored 12 touchdowns, also played nose guard on defense while McFadden was a two-way lineman for the Hawks.
Davis also manned a running back spot on offense for the Silverbacks scoring four touchdowns.
Division champion Red Jacket led the way with seven first team selections including quarterback Kyle DaMore, running back Logan Keifer, wide receiver Daltyn Hanline, offensive lineman Casey Atwood and defensive lineament Kyle Footer and Parker Moore. Keifer was named the division’s Player of the Year.
Runner-up Pembroke placed running back Garret Totten, defensive linemen Aaron Bikby and Brandon Florian, linebacker Connor Peterson and defensive backs Keith Neureuter and Tyson Totten
Perry is represented by quarterback Justice Fanaro, wide receiver Braeden Wolfanger and offensive linemen Carter McClurg and Lucas Sears.
CG Finney has placed tight end Joe Gorman, offensive lineman Connor McIntytre and defensive lineman Dorian Vanheet.
South Seneca is represented by defensive back Tristen Metz.
