Local spikers on G-R team for senior match

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Lyndonville’s Hannah Despard will be one of six local players competing in the Genesee Region League vs. Livingston County League Exceptional Senior volleyball match on Thursday at Byron-Bergen.

Six Orleans County players will be on the roster for the Genesee Region League team for the Exceptional Senior volleyball match against the Livingston County League at 6 p.m. Thursday at Byron-Bergen.

The local contingent includes Natalie Ostrowski, Alecia Hinkson and Hannah Despard from Lyndonville, Nicole Mrzywka from Holley and Jessica Coble and Jenna Regan from Kendall.

The G-R lineup will also include Gabby Crespo, Clare Misiak and Stevie Wilcox from Notre Dame, Kennedy O’Neill and Carson Marzolf from Alexander, Nissa Burch and Abigail Winslow from Wheatland-Chili, Taylor Gadd from Attica and MacKenzie Jurek, Amanda Knauss and Taylore Dorman from Pembroke.

The Livingston lineup will include Erika Rauscher, Sophia Jermy and Riley Pasquale from LeRoy, Emelia Mislan from Avon, Maddy Akers, Skyler Race and Jackie Biechinger from Dansville, Bekah Voisey and Jessie McCann from York, Ashley Harper, Janelle Scott and Jessa Stores from Warsaw, Abbi Bush and Ashley Page from Perry, Lily Gfeller from Livonia, Katie Harmon and Amber Pike from Caledonia-Mumford and Maddy Scott from Bath Haverling.

Donations will be accepted at the door with all proceeds gong to the Wilmot Cancer Center in memory of Steve Hooker a CWVO official who donated time at this event each year when it was just the Genesee League Exceptional Senior match.
