Local soccer matchups will highlight the upcoming high school sports week

High school soccer action this coming week will be highlighted by a series of key local matchups.
The Holley boys squad will host Medina/Lyndonville on Monday and then travel to Kendall on Saturday.
Medina/Lyndonville will also host Roy-Hart on Tuesday in a key Niagara-Orleans League contest while Kendall also faces key Genesee Region League home games against Attica on Monday and Wheatland-Chili on Wednesday.
Medina/Lyndonville is currently tied with defending champion Akron for first place at 3-1 as Roy-Hart, Newfane and Wilson are all just a half game off the pace at 3-2 in the tight five-way title battle.
The key girls contests will have Holley at Lyndonville on Tuesday and at Kendall on Saturday as well as Albion at Medina on Wednesday.
First place in the N-O field hockey standings will be on the line Tuesday as defending champion Barker hosts Akron in a clash of 4-0 teams.
On the gridiron, Medina will host Burgard in a key B North Division game on Friday. The Mustangs at 1-1 are in need of a win against the 2-0 Bulldogs in the race for a sectional playoff berth.
Barker/Roy-Hart also hosts Newfane in a B North contest while Albion entertains Eden in an interdivisional game on Friday. Holley will travel to Alexander on Saturday in G-R action.
