Local quintet helps spark Niagara Nationals to diamond tournament titles
Five local baseball players are key contributors to 2014 Niagara Nationals team which has gone undefeated thus far through the first two tournaments of the season.
Liam Ward from Albion along with, AJ Seefeldt, Nathan Sherman, Chris Goyette and Brian Fry, all from Medina have helped the Nationals 11U team win the New Era and Darien Lake Tounaments.
The Nationals went undefeated in the season opening New Era Tournament taking home the championship by defeating the 11U New Era team.
This past weekend the Nationals ran through the 32 team Darien Lake Tournament taking home the championship by defeating the Greece Tornadoes.
Ward, Goyette and Seefeldt helped out with much of the pitching duties.
All five players were instrumental offensively all weekend. Including home runs from Seefeldt, Sherman and Fry.
