Local players spark Genesee soccer teams

Orleans County players are helping to lead a quartet of Genesee United teams to strong seasons in the Rochester District League.

At the halfway point of the season, the Genesee United team is currently 6-0-1 and in first place in the 1st Division of the Rochester District Adult Soccer League. Destiny Satkowski (Medina/Slippery Rock U.) leads the team in scoring with 7 goals and 2 assists.  Other Orleans County players on the squad are Mariah Elsenheimer (Albion/Iona College),  Emilie Rath (Medina) and  Anna Rath (Medina/Alfred State)

The 2nd Division of the Rochester Adult League has Genesee United in second place at 5-1.  Destiny Satkowski  is the league’s leading scorer with 8 goals and 2 assists. Other Orleans County players on the squad are Elsenheimer , Aubrey Lewis (Lyndonville/Daemen College),  Casey Flynn (Medina) and Kaya Bloom (Medina).

Genesee United is in first place at 5-2 in the Rochester District Youth League U19 Division.  Destiny Satkowski again is the league’s leading scorer with 14 goals and 5 assists. Other Orleans County players on the squad are Anna Lewis (Lyndonville) and Bloom.

In the Rochester District Youth League U18 Division Genesee United is in second place at 3-2-1. RDYSL (Orleans County players on the squad are Melanie Hibbard, Alana Drewery, Marg Brakenbury, Brianna McMullen, Madelynn Satkowski, and Gracie Cogovan.
