Local players help NCCC gain split

Medina High graduate Olivia Hermann had 3 hits and an RBI and Newfane grad Jordan Beutel 4 hits and 3 RBIs to help the Niagara County Community College softball team defeat Finger Lakes Community College 12-4 today to earn a split of a doubleheader.

Finger Lakes took the opening game 8-4.

Newfane grad Morgan Bedford had 2 hits, including a double, and scored twice for NCCC in the opener.

NCCC is now 3-1 in the conference and 5-7 overall.
