Local players earn G-R All-Star honors
Four local players have been named to the Genesse Region League All-Star team including Lyndonville junior pitcher Zach Johnson, Kendall sophomore pitcher/catcher Mason Kuhn along with the Holley senior duo of pitcher Sam Lammes and catcher Patrick Bower.
Johnson and Bower are both repeat selections.
Johnson went 4-1 on the mound with 77 strikeouts and a 2.05 earned run average. At the plate he hit .438 with 6 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs and 21 RBIs.
Kuhn hit .432 with 4 doubles.
Bower hit .410 with 4 doubles and 18 RBIs and Lammes .370 with 4 doubles and 12 RBIs. On the mound, Lammes went 4-2 with 47 strikeouts and Bower 2-2 with 41 strikeouts.
Holley senior Brandon Dillenbeck also earned Honorable Mention. He hit .500 with 15 RBIs.
The All-Star team also includes Erik Scharlau and Ryan Davis from Alexander; Joe Aguglia, Matt Travis, Sam Cusmano and Logan Veley from Attica; Zack Cocking, Devin Grimshaw and Brendin Klotzbach from Notre Dame, Joey Burdick from Oakfield-Alabama/Elba and Zach von Kramer, Reid Miano, Jacob Miller and Casey Shaw from Pembroke.

Division I – Pembroke 10-2, Attica 9-3, Holley 6-6, Alexander 5-7, Byron-Bergen 1-11.
Division II – Notre Dame 9-2, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba 7-4, Lyndonville 5-6, Kendall 2-9.
