Some 150 young football enthusiasts from all over Western New York and Pennsylvania took part in the first ever Buffalo Bills Heads Up Clinic Monday evening at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

The local Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) had a number of players participating as well as three of their USA Football Player Safety Coaches including Matt DellaPenna (Batavia), Bill Lempke (Pembroke) and Geno Allport (NOFA).

“The clinic is aimed at trying to make the game better and safer by teaching the young players how to Head Up block and tackle,” said Allport.

Also participating in the clinic were 10 rookie members of the Bills squad including Ronald Darby, who had an interception this past Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, and Karlos Williams, who had a touchdown run on his first carry against the Colts.
