Local G-R girls basketball squads to open sectionals on the road

Orleans County’s three Genesee Region League girls basketball teams, Lyndonville, Holley and Kendall, will all open Section V playoff action on the road this coming week.

Lyndonville (3-16), which is seeded No. 10 in Class D1, will face No. 7 Alfred-Almond (9-10) at Letchworth at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will visit No. 2 Elba (15-4) in the quarterfinals on February 27.

Holley (2-17), which is seeded No. 12 in Class C1, will visit No. 5 Mynderse (13-6) at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will face No. 4 Bloomfield (14-4) in the quarterfinals on February 28.

Kendall (7-12), which is seeded No. 10 in Class C3, will visit No. 7 York (8-11) at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will face No. 2 Bolivar-Richburg (12-7) on February 28 in the quarterfinals.
