Local duo on G-R All-Star volleyball team

Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Kendall’s Jenna Regan and Lyndonville’s Alecia Hinkson have been named to the Geensee Region League All-Star volleyball team.

Two local juniors, Kendall’s Jenna Regan and Lyndonville’s Alecia Hinkson, have been named to the annual Genesee Region League All-Star volleyball team.

Regan had 203 spiking kills, 48 service aces, 64 digs and 11 blocks on the season.

Hinkson had 134 kills, 43 aces, 152 digs and 11 blocks.

Undefeated Byron-Bergen leads the way with four honorees including Catherine Brumsted, Lauren Burke, Quinn Chapell and Madison Farnsworth.

Oakfield-Alabama/Elba is represented by the trio of Makayla Hilchey, Justina Pruska and Kyle Schlagenhauf.

Rounding out the All-Star team are Kaylee Anderson and Taylor Gadd from Attica, Natalie Thornton fro Notre Dame and Mackenzie Jurek from Pembroke.

Senior game Tuesday
Kendall will also be represented by Sunni Brice and Shianna Patten and Holley by Ava Kohut at the annual G-R League vs. Livingston County League senior volleyball match at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Byron-Bergen.

The G-R lineup will also include Anderson and Haley Hardie from Attica;  Pruski, Schlagenhauf and Hilchey from Oakfield-/Alabama/Elba; Burke, Chapell and Brumsted from Byron-Bergen; Carli Marino and Madison Drysdale from Alexander and Thornton from Notre Dame.
