Local diamond trio in N.Y. State Games
Contributed Photo – This trio of local players is taking part in the invite only PBR (Prep Baseball Report) New York State Games this week in Binghamton. They include, from left, Joe Dell’oso from Starpoint, Chris Goyette from Medina and Charlie Bruning from Roy-Hart. They are taking part in skill testing today. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday they will be competing in games. Goyette and Bruning are both on Team No. 6 and Dell’oso on Team No. 3 for the event which has a total of 16 teams comprised of players from all around the state. The players participated in winter evaluation clinics with the top players earning invites to the New York State games. This is Bruning’s second year participating in the games while it is Goyette’s and Dell’oso’s first invites. Goyette and Dell’oso are also currently teammates on the Niagara Nationals U16 team.
