Local cagers earn All-State honors

Two local players, Roy-Hart senior Andy Xapsos and Medina sophomore Jalin Cooper, have earned spots on the Class B All-State basketball squad.

Xapsos was a 12th team selection while Cooper received Honorable Mention.

Xapsos led all area players in scoring this past season with 496 points for a 22.5 per game average.

Cooper scored 340 points (15.4 ave.) and also had 225 rebounds, 56 assists, 47 steals and 46 blocks.

Both players were first team Niagara-Orleans All League selections who also earned Honorable Mention on the All-Western New York squad.

Three other local players have received Honorable Mention on the All Greater Rochester squad including the Lyndonville duo of senior Nick Hinkson and junior Eddie Schildt along with Kendall senior Jacob Ramsdell.
