Local athletes compete at state track meet
A seventh place finish by Medina junior Gordon Young in the High Jump (6-0) and a ninth place finish by Albion junior Cencere Lowe in the Long Jump (21-2 1/4) were tops among local athletes competing in the state Division 2 (small schools) track and field championships this weekend at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.
Medina’s Madelyn Rutledge placed 15th in the Long Jump (16-9).
Roy-Hart junior Braden Ricker also competed in the 200 and Holley senior Sam Bates in the High Jump.
