Contributed Photo – Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic members of the Medina High Class of 1986 had to cancel their charity golf tournament but instead did the fundraiser virtually. Last year the first annual Lizzy’s Loves Golf Tournament, which was held in memory of 1986 class member Liz Monell, raised $4,400 with $3,400 going to benefit the Knights-Kaderli Foundation and $1,000 to start a Medina High scholarship in Liz’s name. This year’s virtual fundraiser raised exactly the same amount to help the Knights-Kaderli Foundation and the Liz Monell Scholarship. “A big thank-you to everyone for donating this year online to help keep Liz’s memory alive,” said Golf Chairman Chris Creasey.
