Lions roll to non league win over Rams

Jumping out to a 20 point first quarter lead, Lockport went on to down visiting Roy-Hart 83-40 in a non league boys baksetball game this afternoon.

Charlie Croff scored 19 and Mike Griffin 17 to lead a parade of five Lockport players to hit double figures as Treighlon Hill and Shey Williams both added 11 and Ian Cooper 10.

Dan Aquilina scored 19 and Rem Albee 14 to pace Roy-Hart.

Croff got off to a fast start scoring on a three and back-to-back layups off turnovers igniting the Lions out to a commanding 26-6 lead. Croff had a total of 12 in the period as Grffin and Cooper both netted 5. The trio each had a three and the Lions finished with a total of 11 long range baskets.

The Lions went on to lead by margins of 25 (43-18) at the half and 37 (67-30) at the three-quarter mark.

The Rams next visit Akron in a Niagara-Orleans League game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
