Lewis, Snyder earn All-Tourney team honors

Kendall’s Libby Snyder and Lyndonville’s Ella Lewis, both seniors, have earned Section V All Tournament team honors.
Snyder was named to the Class C2 All-Tourney team. The Lady Eagles lost 44-40 in the semifinals to Pavilion which went on to defeat Gananda 46-42 in the C2 title contest.
Lewis was named to the Class C3 All-Tourney team. The Lady Tigers lost in the semis 43-23 to York which went on to defeat Dundee-Bradford 42-35 in the Class C3 finals.
This was the 50th annual Section V tournament and interestingly the tourney program listed the All-Star teams from the previous years.
The program shows Kendall with six previous All-Tournament team honorees including Mary Jo Brenner (1983), Karen Gaesser (1984), Connie Warren (1985), Mary Lapinski (1985), Renee Turpyn (1999 and 2000) and Christine Halter (2005).
Lyndonville’s previous All-Tourney honorees include Jill Eppolito (1978), Sara Woodworth (1996 and 1997), Sherri Stephens (1996 and 1998) and Kelsey Traxler (2008).
Holley has been represented on the All Tourney teams by Lauren Logsdon (2002) and Julie Brooks (2009).
