LeRoy races past Albion in non league opener

Building up a commanding 23 point half-time advantage, LeRoy went on to defeat host Albion 84-41 this evening in the non league season opener for both teams.

Aaric Luce took game high scoring honors with 21 for LeRoy as Jean Agosto and Adam Woodworth both tallied 15 and Jace Jedrewski 10.

Tyler Cody led Albion with 14 as Kyle Radder added 7, Luke Bell and Isaiah Riley 6, Peyton Robinson 4 and Wesley Olles and Nate Gibson 2.

Luce hit four threes and Agosto had 8 points in the opening quarter sparking LeRoy out to a 26-14 lead.

The LeRoy advantage soared to 23, 41-18, at the half and to 30, 62-32, after three quarters. Luce had a three and a four point play in the second quarter while Woodworth had a three and two baskets in the third period.

Albion next visits Palmyra-Macedon on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Roy-Hart and Barker bow

In other non league openers, North Tonawanda downed visiting Roy-Hart 68-41 and Alexander bested host Barker 53-42.

Dan Aquilina scored 18, Erique Powell 9 and Jackson West 6 for Roy-Hart.

Logan Murrell led Barker with 18 as Owen Harris and Anthony Taliaferro both added 8.
