REQUEST FOR BID

The Falls Road Railroad invites sealed bids for the rehabilitation of two Railroad/Highway crossings: Eagle Harbor Road, Town of Albion, Orleans County and Telegraph Road Town of Royalton, Niagara County.

Sealed Bids shall be received at the Falls Road Railroad offices, 1 Mill St, Suite 101, Batavia, NY 14020-1245.  Bids will be opened on May 7, 2025  at 2 pm, local time.   At that time, the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bidders may attend the bid opening.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid conference call at 10 AM on April 21, 2025.  The conference call number to be provided to plan holders.

The work will include: removal of existing crossing, installation of rail and ties, installation of crossing surface, concrete at Eagle Harbor Road and rubber rail seal at Telegraph Road, surfacing and paving, and related work.

The Contract is to provide all the necessary services, material, equipment, labor and superintendents necessary to perform the construction work in accordance with the standards of the New York State Department of Transportation, the FRA, and the American Railway Engineering & Maintenance of Way Association.

This project will follow all NYSDOT guidelines regarding bidding and contracts.  The Contractor must also provide evidence of standard NYSDOT required insurances, including railroad protective liability insurance.
