Leagues had a chilly week at Hickory Ridge
It was a cold start as the Tuesday Ladies Night Out league played last week at Hickory Ridge. The league secretary reported they nearly froze and the scores showed golfers were struggling with the weather. Low gross was Deb Wood with a 42 with Kathy Babbit shooting a 48. Low net was Babbit with a 40 with Judy Schuth with a 41 and Cindy Roberts with a 42. Wood recorded the only birdie for the week.
Thursday wasn’t much better weather wise as the Peter Sullivan Sr. Golf league teed up early morning for 18 holes. Low gross was Rich Wheeler with 81. Jim Zambito and Ralph Dalton tied for low net at 72. Closest to the pin on number 11 was Jack Mang at 15 feet. Closest second shot on number 13 was Dave Marcolini with just a bit over 8 feet from the hole. Wheeler recorded two skins while Zambito and Gene Ashe each had one.
The Thursday Men’s Traveling League shows Low Denniston with both the low gross (43) and low net (30). Kyle Smith and Brian Payne both had birdies. The team of Cotter and Knaak are in first place in the standings. Close behind Bennett and Budde with 46 and the teams of Flansberg and Stalker and Denniston and Draper with 44.
